Last
weekend was the Desucon Frostbite that is a convention held annually for those
who are interested in anime and manga. The event was full of cosplayers, including
me and my lovely sister. Sadly, I wasn’t able to take that many pictures. I was wearing a costume on Saturday and didn’t feel like taking photos. On the contrary on Sunday
there weren’t that may costumes I found interesting.
I had intended to write this post earlier on Monday but some sudden events flipped my schedule completely upside down and I ended up not having enough time to write a post. I'll get back to this later but first let's take a look at Desucon Frostbite.

On the pictures above you can see there were many amazing costumes though I didn't have a chance to take pictures of all my favourite costumes.
Unfortunately, I don't know the cosplayers in the pictures I took so I wasn't able to add their names in here. Anyway, thank you so much for letting me take your pictures! I was really glad to see many different disney princess costumes. Sadly, I missed my chance to take a picture of a Cinderella cosplayer.
Otherwise, I mostly felt like an outsider since lately I haven't had too much spare time to read manga or watch any anime shows. I barely recognized any characters at all. I really need to update my "read manga" list this summer.
Of course, it was enjoyable to watch those amazing costumes people had prepared for the event despite fact I recognized only few characters.
I do envy people
who can do those amazing costumes and have the patience to work on those for
months. Since I just started doing cosplay I barely know anything about it. It
can be extremely frustrating to come up with an idea for the next costume
because my skills are so limited; I have no idea how to make armour or any
other props properly. I don’t know where to buy good and cheap wigs and how to
customize them. Please, do give me tips and teach me if you can!

I think I might
have chosen the wrong year to attend there since there wasn’t that many
interesting workshops or lectures for me. Next year I’m going to study the
program properly and then decide whether I go there again or not. I went last
year to Tracon and for me it was much more fun than this convention. The
atmosphere was more relaxed and a bit playful. I’m not sure if it is because
Desucon Frostbite only for those who are 18 or older.
However,
I’m not saying Desucon Frostbite is a bad convention. Since I wasn’t interested
in the workshops and lectures they offered so there weren’t that many
activities for me so it was from time to time a bit boring. Perhaps. I simply
was in a wrong place at a wrong time. I want to see what this event offers next
year.

So the event ended on Sunday and on the same day I went to visit my friend. I turned out that her baby was sick and she was so exhausted from having to take care of the baby and to entertain her older son. The older boy is way too young to understand that when the baby is sick the mom can't keep him company.
However she very glad to see me because she was able to concentrate on nursing the baby while I was playing with the older son. Everything went well but when I got home I realized I was too tired to write a post so I decided to postpone till Wednesday.
On Wednesday I received a text message from this friend of mine. She was asking if I could help her to arrange her older son's birthday party which was to be hold on Sunday. Well, I agreed to help her by baking a cheesecake and some cinnamon buns. And now here I am. Completely exhausted from working, trying to get my school work done, to keep my promises and as well to keep this blog alive. And I'm also down with flue (nothing serious).
This a bit longer update to what I've been doing recently. Let's see what I'll come up next and when I'll post it! :)
