Demonstration And Couple Failures

Here I am, it is 11.30 am, waiting for my friend so that we can join many other Finnish students to protet the recent decision of the Finnish parliament to deny student allowance from those who have a degree of the same level. 

     In Finland degrees are divided into lower and upper level degrees (Bachelor and Master degrees). So in a nutshell, if you already have, for example, a bachelor degree you can't get government supported student allowance for other bachelor degree studies. Why make fuss about it? Well, sometimes it's better for your future employment to get another same level degree, otherwise you might end up being unemployed.


Gladly, the demonstration was successful and they cancelled the law.
     But I'm feeling a bit annoyed because I probably failed an exam for the first time. I usually pass the exams without a good attendance rate for the lectures and I don't study that much. But this time... This time I should have studied properly because there were so many details to memorize. (Yeah, I'm a bad student. Though my grades are good.) I did study but I didn't start early enough to be able to remember all the important parts.
     All I can do is to wait for the results and then consult with the teacher when I can retake the test in case I failed the first time.

Second failure; if you've actually read my blog posts you should know how I made a decision to try to make some changes in my daily routine to start losing weight again.
     Well... Things didn't go as planned. I didn't gain weight! But I wasn't able to lose it either because my diet made a complete U-turn. Now I'm finally getting back on track again but, gosh, it was hard. It seems that the moving in new apartment alone changed my daily routine so much that I kept feeling really stressed through the entire February. Because of that I wasn't able concentrate on my meals and bought just some quick and easy (also unhealthy) meals on a daily basis.

Hopefully, by the end of April I've managed to start losing weight again. For now, I focus on fixing my bad habits I created during February.
